An ETH address is the receiving address of an Ethereum wallet. The address starts with “0x” and is followed by a series of 40 random characters.

Ethereum accounts are classified into two categories: external accounts and contract accounts. External accounts are controlled by public-private key pairs (humans), and contract accounts are controlled by the smart contract's code.
